Default 01 S60 2.4L engine computer fault?

Two separate occasions where the engine computer apparently failed and then healed itself. First occasion car would not start, although engine turned over fine. Probably one hour later, all symtoms disappeared and no computer codes indicating a fault. Months later, while driving, engine suddenly goes limp with no power and no reponse to throttle. Will restart easily but with no power..not even limp home mode. One hour later car starts and shows no symptoms. Anyone seem this or knows of the problem???
thanks

I have been having a problem with this as well. It normally occurs when it is hot in the car. It seems to be a connection problem according to the code while it is happening, then later the code is gone. I took it in but the dealership is telling me I have to get a new ecu. This is very expensive and shady since it works great until it is too hot. I am no expert but it seems like a connection problem. If any one can help I would be thankful.
ps It's a 2004 s60

Thanks for the reply. One of my instances occurred while I was driving with the air conditioning on so the car was not hot. Wish I could confirm a connection problem as that would be cheaper than an ECU.
