05 S60 Trunk emergency key latch

Just got an 05 S60 with 130K miles. Have a balky trunk remote. Cannot seem to find where the emergency key latch is. Any guidance welcome

Look up inside above the license plate and you will see a squeeze trigger and also a spot for the key to manually release the handle if the electronic release doesn't work.
