2004 s60 Acceleration Issue
I have an 2004 S60 AWD. It has various electrical issues... Radio changes channels by itself, driver side door window works occasionally, High beam indicator light works occasionally. Now I seem to be having a problem with acceleration. The car has no get up and go, it very slowly accelerates and its necessary for me to use the triptronic shifter to move through the gears. I have brought it to my local guy twice and he informed me that it was a blown fuse originally and now seems to be at a loss to fix the problem. Anyone else out there run into this problem? if yes, how did you fix it? Thanks for the help
any idea which fuse was blown? that may give you a clue as to what the root cause was. I don't think the odd electrical problems are directly related but may point to a system voltage issue (weird happens when your system voltage goes below a threshold). Do you have a check engine light or other warnings? If so you should scan for fault codes including powertrain/transmission and chassis codes (not all budget scanners can see all codes). You may want to look at volvowiringdiagrams.com to see if you can find a diagram for your car - to see whether the CEM is in the service patch for various devices, inspect the battery terminals and big cables, do a simple voltage test of the battery and charging system. I'm wondering if you may be stuck in "limp mode".
