Default 2007 S60 2.5T clunking noise and vibration

I am experienceing a clunking noise and vibration that feels like it is coming from the passenger side front. The car has 80k miles on it and I can not confirm if any service was done to the vehicle prior to me purchasing it. Initial research leads me to believe the problem is either a worn strut or ball joint. Could anyone share their thoughts or similar experiences? Thanks in advance.

Replacing the strut eliminated the clunking noises but the vibration is still there. It is enough to make me not want to drive the car. Any ideas as to the source of the problem?

Have you rotated the tires to eliminate the possible cause of the vibration being a bent rim or imperfect tire?
Do you feel the vibration in the steering wheel?

also look at end links . This is a very common failure part and can be replaced in 15 mins per side .. They connect the sway-bars to the strut and if they go it can cause your issue as well as knocking sound when going over bumps...
