Default 2007 s60 "hoooooooo" noise

2007 volvo s60 making a strange intermittent noise that sounds like a brake dragging, The noise sounds more like "hooooooooo . it comes and goes , ie, It is not a constant noise . I hear it mostly at low speeds, after coming to a stop , then accelerate and you will hear it, hoooooooooo, for 10-15 sec. When it comes on and I let go of the gas pedal, it seems to go away. Applying gas pedal seems to bring it back. The noise then goes away. Does not make it when car is at idle or park if engine is revved. Sometimes it will make the noise at hwy speeds, "hooooooooo". Is this a turbo noise or something else. any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

I just made a post similar to this. I am thinking mine is a wheel bearing or maybe a caliber sticking

Do you notice it at all pulling from a stop or making a turn from a stop? just curious

It sounds like mine...and mine was the wheel bearing. Could you compare the noise to an airplane? When it gets really bad it will make the noise all the time.
Just a suggestion.

Default hoooooo reply

brought it in to volvo they couldn't duplicate the noise, isn't that always the case, now it has not done it in a few days. They noticed the front pads were low, so it could be a brake issue. possible a sticky caliper or loose brake pad. If it were a bearing it would be really loud and make it all the time, not as you turn. will be replacing the front pads, will see if it goes away . keep me posted if you find anything otherwise . mine ony has 47k on it. still under warranty to 50k
