2009 Electrcal problems-Help Please !
My Daughters s60 started having electrical issues and I am trying to avoid costly diagnostic bills . The dash cluster started going out intermintanly and no gauges working - so i thought dash cluster was the problem. Now dash cluster has no working gauges , but turn signals work on the outside of the car. The drivers power seat does not work along with power windows and key FOB . Thought maybe the CEM - called XeMODex - telling me that those are Low speed network issues - just more confused than ever . Dealer want $185 an hour to diagnose
Can anyone give me some insight to help locate the problem , any help greatly appreciated
Thanks Will

I did pull the outside cover to the CEM and checked the 2 connectors for corrosion , all looked good. Car starts and drives fine besides these issues . Just not sure how dash cluster and the other problems are related

Sounds like contact issues based solely on what you said (intermittent, etc). I'd start with cleaning all contacts & pins on connectors & see if it makes a difference. Corrosion wreaks havoc on electrical systems (obviously), check all major grounds too (especially CEM, body grounds, engine, transmission, etc). That's an often neglected remedy for a lot of strange electrical issues.
