Default 2011 Volvo S60 Oil Consumption

Hey guys, it's my first time posting here. I just bought a used 2011 Volvo S60 back in late December and I'm having a few issues. It's the T6 with awd obv and it has about 80k miles on it now but I've had to top off the oil a few times since I bought it. I thought that was weird so I reset the trip counter and actually measured it. I'm burning about 1 quart per every 600-700 miles or so. Definitely a problem there right? The car also feels like it's fluttering most of the time. Like little microscopic vibrations. Is this something I should be concerned about? I'm thinking about taking it in. Luckily I got it through a reputable Acura dealership nearby and have a solid 3 year/36,000 mi warranty that I opted for.

Also, side note: do all of these models trap rain in the doors for an unreasonable amount of time??? After a heavy rain it seems like even a full 24 hours after it has stopped, the doors are still full of water. Not just one, but all of them.

The rubber window strips should prevent water from entering the doors. Those probably need changing.

Yes, you should be concerned about burning a quart of oil per 600-700 miles. At that rate you'd never have to change your oil; It's doing it for you. Sorry for the sarcasm but you need to have that looked at. Sounds like you have some serious gremlins lurking. If indeed they are providing a solid 3 year/36k mi warranty, it's time to exercise it's coverage !

Hi Mitch, here's my horror story https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...own-rod-92443/

Same problem you have. I had to replace the engine! No help from Volvo, even though I opened a case with corporate BEFORE it threw a rod. Good luck with yours.
