My dealer never pointed this out, and I discovered it a few months after buying the car, so I thougut I'd post it here in case others were not aware. Putting the transmission into "sport" mode re-maps the throttle and transmission shift points. It transforms the car substantially making it much more alive and sport. Going back to normal drive mode makes the gas pedal feel spongy and the car slow to donwshift. I am not seeing much of a difference in fuel economy either. The only drawback is that it shifts hard at low speeds, but a simple flick of the shfter back to drive when in traffic or local streets solves that. Try it an you'll be amazed! My car is T5 by the way.
