Default 2012 Volvo S60 Removing Inner Black Door Panel Cover

Hello,

I have searched everywhere on what I need to do to remove the (2nd) inner door panel that covers the window track and door lock actuator. I have purchased a replace door lock actuator since my Driver's side door stopped locking. I have been able to remove the outer part of the door panel and unscrewed the 10 or so bolts that I thought held the black inner But there is something that is holding it on. It almost looks and feels like it's being held on my something screwed in from the other side but that doesn't make sense. Any help? Advice? I've included a pic of what it looks like (Different model and car) but looks the same. I'm trying to replace my door lock actuator and need this off. The older models just have a black foam insulation piece, but I can't find out how to remove this thing.

Chances are the door window is attached to the to the panel as the window regulator motor is on it (you didn't say that you removed it). Good chance that the door latch and outer handle guts are attached as well.

After giving up I assumed that was the issue. I figured it had to do with the window and the window motor/track. I had loosened the door handle but got chicken because I was afraid the side bolt (the one on the side of the door that holds the lock in place) would fall down into the door. I will see if I can remove the door lock and handle tomorrow. I assume this will loosen it to where the panel and window motor can come out.
