Default Removing rear inside door panel 2001 S60

The rear door can only be opened from the outside, not the inside. The child lock is not the problem so I assume that a rod or connection is broken. Can someone tell me how to safely take off the panel to check on this?

yes - there is a cable that attaches to the handle that has slipped off or snapped... my drivers door has been like that since july... yikes...

as for removing - i have a general idea but not specifics so I will wait on someone else.

Remove the little cover by where you grab to close the door. Then remove the screw under the cover.
Then along the outside lower edge of the door panel is 6 clips. Press the center of the clip in 1 click then pull the clip out. Then the panel should be loose and can be slid off.

Bender have you tried the small wire tie repair?
