I have a 2012 Volvo S60 T5 and keyless entry works on the side door handles but not when I go to open the trunk lid using the trunk release handle. This means I either have to use the remote and use the trunk open button or go around and touch one of the rear door handles then open the trunk. Anyone, experience an issue like this and know the fix?

I'm guessing it is either the wiring in the trunk or something with deck lid release button. I'm leaning to the deck lid handle needing to be replaced because the trunk does still lock through the other doors, buttons and remote. However, it's not clear to me if the trunk or deck lid handle has any antenna for the keyless entry system and will fix the issue if replaced.

 

have you checked your settings in the computer to see what gets unlocked with keyless entry?
