Default Angle Gear Replacement

I have a 2005 S60 2.5T AWD, angle drive/gear is not sending any juice to the rear. Have one on the way, looks like a pretty straight forward job. Any comments or experiences to share?

if the angle gear is broke, you would have a terrible grinding noise. the passenger side CV shaft runs through it. It should spin the driveshaft at all times, and the rear diff would control the AWD function.

The rear diff is more likely your problem, possibly the viscus clutching, or electronic clutching (not sure exactly which it has, they changed in the mid 00s.

when on a rack, the front wheels spin, but rear do not. The angle gear is making some grinding noise. Seems like it is the angle gear. Will find out more tomorrow.

I would check the collar from the angel gear to the transmission.. Is the AG weeping fluid? Is there fluid in it?
