Default Auto stop

The auto stop feature on our 5 week old 2015 E-drive has quit working. Anyone have any experience with this or can point me in the right direction?

Have you referenced the owner's manual to make sure it is meeting all criteria?

It won't keep working if the car doesn't get over a certain speed. It won't work if the car isn't warmed up. It won't work at certain ambient temperatures (too cold or too hot). It won't work in Sport mode. There are other criteria, I don't remember them all.

If there is no warning message saying "Auto-Start Service Required", there is likely no fault with it.

Like est6 said. There is a lot of things that will cause the auto stop not to work. Are you using the AC?

Thanks for the reply. As you mentioned, there are a ton of conditions that have to be met in order for it to work. I've eliminated the obvious ones so now I have to work my way down the list.
The odd thing is that it worked fine for the first 4 weeks but now has stopped working. When the engine restarts after an auto stop, it's pretty rough compared to our Camry Hybrid which isn't the end of the world but I can see some people disabling the function so they don't have to put up with the roughness.

It's under warranty right? Why not get it in to the dealer and have it checked out?

It's been my experience with service departments that having as much knowledge as possible before showing up is a big plus. I'm convinced that the first thing service people are taught is the phrase "Oh, they all do that" as their way of blowing you off.

The ECM keeps track of what prohibits it from working, too. The dealer can print out a list of the last 10 causes. I think you can view what currently is causing it to not work, not sure where exactly in the menus it is located though.

We drove 660 miles today and it worked a number of times but not others. I thought the original problem was that the fan was running on high but today, the engine stopped with the fan on high.
At least I know it's working and probably the way it's intended. I have not found anywhere in the menu where you can track the reasons. When I went into My Car, the Auto Start selection would say "not available" without going into detail.

I'll have to play around with one the next time one comes in, I'm not sure where in the menu system it was but I'm pretty sure it's in there some where. It won't keep a list of the last 10, just whatever is currently not allowing it to work.
