Default Bleeding brakes in '02 S60.

Hello. The long time lurker chiming in again.

The front brake hoses need replaced. How should the system be bled?

I am unable to find which instructions correlate with what year. One source says the calipers have 2 bleeders plus a clutch under the hood needs bled? Very new to me.. Another says Volvo recommends bleeding in this order: LF,RF,LR,RR and other folks say the traditional way (RR, LR, RF, LF) works too.

Thanks in advance guys.

There is one bleeder on each caliper, pretty hard to get it loosen (if it has never been before). Rear wheel bleeders is even worse. I'd use a good amount of penetrating oil days in advance. Fluid reservoir under hood needs to stay open and carefully surveyed and refilled so it doesn't drop behind the min. line. I never used a bleeding order, just did bleed enough fluid so it appears clean at the caliper, then moved to the next caliper. Good tip, once the bleeder is loosened, push back the piston right away to remove all the old fluid that's behind the piston.

Best moment to inspect the front flexible (rubber) line hose at the caliper, mine were both badly cracked yet not leaking.

Mine are in pretty bad shape too. Not leaking yet, but definitely 1 foot in the grave and another on a banana peel. I noticed their condition while I was replacing the front rotors and pads. I bought 2 from FCP Euro for about 65 shipped and they came with a 4 year warranty. This beats any local car parts place.
