Default Car fixed... time to mod!

So I had a GREAT experience with the dealer. The were VERY VERY fair with me and did wonderful work. So now that things are straighted out, and I promised pics, here are the pics of what I am going to do before they make it to my garage (and bank account).

So here it is:

I am probably going with speed tuning usa. I havent talked to many people that have used them but they have been very responsive to all my emails and inquires... i just need to find out what kind of parts they physically use so i know they are quality

Well if you want a real tune for your ECU go with IPD or RICA. ST USA I don't believe will tune if you hand them dyno sheets with a/f ratios etc... They just slap a said PSI program on your ECU and you go on your way.

I like my ST USA ecu upgrade, but it I had to redo it I would have gone with RICA or IPD.

i see... i dont want to go with an IPD simply because of the cost... but maybe that needs more research
are you experiencing other problems because of the ST and other mods?

Only other engine mod I have is a BOV. But I would say that I am eithe running RICH as hell or LEAN as hell because I replaced a front O2 sensor a little while back.

Seriously spend the money and get a good tune. Also don't get the ECU upgrade until you have other performance parts on like your intake, like the EST exhaust. Also do you plan on a downpipe? You do have a turbo right? If so the downpipe will give the most gains, and will be even better with a free flowing 2.5" to 3" catback system as well.

They can program the tune to your specific parts you have on your car, if you go with someone like IPD or RICA. ST USA will not to my knowledge. Also it would be worth while to do a dyno right now at stock, then one after every performance upgrade you do. Then show them to IPD and or RICA if you go with one of them with A/F ratios and then you will get an awsome ecu tune.

great idea. I just placed my order for my intake... I know down pipe is a great way to go but I dont have the cash for that right now, and probably wont for a while. Unless you know of places to get them relatively cheaply...

Check over on Volvospeed, some people are making them over there for good prices. Don't buy a pre-made one from the aftermarket companies, total ripoffs. Have a local exhaust shop make you one with mandrel bends.

It can be done way cheaper. I suggest going all custom from a local muffler shop that can do mandrel bends and use a Magnaflow muffler. You should be very happy.
