Car lunges or jumps forward while stopped
My wife has been complaining about the car jumping forward when stopped. Says it will almost hit the car infront of her while stopped at a light. Today when parking at a store she had just turned the car off and was taking the key out and the car jumped forward. What could cause this? I am never in town when the car acts up so no first hand experience with it happening.

Has she experienced surging or fluctuations in idle from .8K to 1.5K RPM?
What you explained did happen with my failed ETM. There is a recall for the Electronic Throttle Module for 01 and 02 S60s.
The recall covers for Ten years or 200K miles whatever comes first.
Do a you-tube search and you will see a few examples.
