Check engine light P0013 01' s60 2.4t
Need assistance please... for a 2001 Volvo s60 2.4t... car was just fixed up and got going... was sitting for atleast close to 5-6 months and it just pulled a code P0013... but the car still runs decent doesn't seem like anything really changed in the performance of the car... can anyone please further assist me in going about fixing the P0013 code on my Volvo... appreciate it

three possible causes come to mind: cam position sensor, VVT (variable valve timing) solenoid, VVT gears. I'd start by looking at the wiring around the VVT solenoid and perhaps some probes for open closed circuits on the pins to the solenoid or position sensor. Since the VVT gear is driven by oil pressure, some people have had some luck removing and cleaning or even running Seafoam in the oil to clear the passages (particularly if you don't run synthetic oil). Is it running fine or seem down on power? If it running fine you may want to do an oil change then try clearing the code and seeing if it resets or not.

Thank you for your feedback on it... it runs the same as since I've had it... checked the oil in it... shows as good... but I need to give it a transmission flush and check the timing belt on it anyways... since the service light does go on at first when you start the car... then check engine light is the only one that stays on on the dashboard... but i'll try changing the oil on it on that note, thanks!
