Clutch Slave Cylinder replacement on an S60R?

Accordingly to my local mechanic, my clutch slave cylinder is leaking on our 2004 Volvo S60R. Is this a simple fix or are we talking a transmission and clutch removal?

Certainly don't need this expense at the moment.

Trans has to come out, certainly not a simple fix

I'm being told about ten hours labor. Ouch!
