Default Confused about headlight bulb replacement

Hi,

I have a 2006 Volvo S60 2.5T. The low beam headlight on the left side just went out, accompanied by a message in the dashboard confirming so.

I looked in my manual, and it says I need an H11 bulb. After doing a lot of searching, I bought this for the HID look:

Amazon.com: Sylvania H11 SZ SilverStar zXe High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulb, (Pack of 2): Automotive Amazon.com: Sylvania H11 SZ SilverStar zXe High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulb, (Pack of 2): Automotive

I just opened the box, and the bulb doesn't look like the picture in my manual, even though it's an H11 bulb. This bulb from amazon has that right angle dongle that is common for high beam lights. In fact, it looks just like what a high beam bulb for my car should look like.

The manual instead shows the low beam H11 bulb to have a straight shaft and two prongs like an electric cord.

Basically, my new H11 bulb looks like this:

When the manual shows that it should look like this, number 1:

Aren't all H11's the same?

As a follow up, would these HIDs fit for the low beam replacement?

The manual is showing an H7, not H11. Did you open it up and see what you have? The 05 and later should be H11 if I remember correctly. And no, those bi-xenons will not work.
