I got hit with a stone and it made a star shaped crack. I got it fixed at safelite but in the process of fixing it the crack spread and is now about 8 inches long. It is low down on the passenger side so it doesn't really affect the view.

I am guessing that I really need to replace the windshield glass altogether. Anyone have an idea of the cost?

Depending on what state your in it may be completely covered by insurance. I know in Kentucky it is. Check with your agent.
