Default Delay throttle response, cuts off

Finally got the PCV system replaced, the cam seals replaced, and the t-belt replaced but now I have another problem.

After I installed the t-belt and before installing the aux belt I started the car to check for oil leaks. The car ran erratic, had slow throttle response and would rev high without depressing the accelerator. I thought maybe a vacuum leak but found none. Then I figured maybe the ECU needed more volts that the battery alone was providing. Went ahead and installed the aux belt and everything was fine. Car ran great.

Drove the car about 15 miles with no problem. Went to restart the car and the symptoms reappeared. What gives? Is it just a coincidence and it is a problem not relating to the engine work?

I am at my ropes end and hope that someone can give me an idea...

Default MAF sensor

Turns out the MAF sensor was bad...

Now I think my son was racing the engine(tp try and keep it running) and putting the car in gear to move it off the road. Now the transmission makes a lot of noise under hard acceleration...RPM's go up but speed stay the same...good grief...

At what point do you call it quits and call the junk man???
