Default Did I buy a lemon? 2011 S60 t6

Hi all. I'm new here. Just purchased
a used 2011 S60 t6 with 36,000 miles from a Cadillac dealer.
I drove it off the lot last night. As I was cleaning the windshield
I noticed a crack. (Papers taped to inside hid this during test drive)
But the real problem is that the radio/media is working intermittently.
Sometimes the screen is completely blank!
Going to dealer this afternoon but the sales guy doesn't want
To help!
I'm beside myself and really just want to return this car!

Anyone else experience problems with radio/media not working?

It's a huge leap from a cracked windshield and a radio that is on the blink to full blown lemon status. It is highly likely that the dealer at least knew about the windshield crack and maybe about the radio when they sold it so that speaks to the integrity of that particular dealer, but not directly to the car.

Addressing the issue head on and quickly is key. I am guessing you bought the car "as is"? If so, technically you are on the hook, but a quality dealer will not want an unhappy customer running around, so they may offer some assistance. Make sure you are addressing this with management, not just the sales person. Start with the used car manager, and work upward to the general sales manager or general manager, then owner if the owner is on site. If it is a large conglomerate dealer take it up the chain as necessary, but ALWAYS give the next person in line a chance to make it right.

I have a number of years experience as a car sales person. Don't hesitate to ask any more questions you might have. Good luck!

Look up what the lemon laws are in your state. But I am sure that is not a lemon. Usually it has to be in the authorized dealer a certain number of days on three occasions for the same repair within warranty. A cracked windshield isn't covered by the manufacturer warranty but the other problem should be.

Manufacturer warranty on what is most likely a 5 year old car? I know lemon laws vary by state, but highly unlikely it would apply to a 5 year old car or 2nd owner.

Have you checked with Volvo to see if there is still a warranty on the car?

It's a 2011, most likely still under warranty. But I agree it is not likely to be a lemon. Most people just use that term for any car that has a problem or two. It has one issue and a broken windshield, not a huge deal.
