I have an 2002 S60 T5 and my door ajar bong noise stays on when the door is shut. Same with the dome light. Although sometimes the dome light never comes on at all, than will come on when I hit a pothole. The chime sometimes stays on when the dome light goes off and sometimes the dome light stays on and the chime will continue. This is the most nerve racking thing ever. Also the floorboard light stay on at all times??? Any advice will be appreciated. At this point I would even pull fuses or relays to just shut the thing up!

the door latches have a microswitch inside that tend to fail frequently, leading to the cabin lights to remain on, as if the door were still open.

 

Where exactly is the microswitch located?

 

microswitch is part of the latch, not sold separately. You need a new latch.
