Emissions service required reset

Emissions service required reset
I have an S60 2.4T. I'm getting a check engine light, and an emissions service required message in my message center. All my maintenance is up to schedule. Is there some way I can reset this light and message. Thanks so much to anyone who can save me a trip to the dealer.

RE: Emissions service required reset
I've had this Emissions Service Required message along with the Check Engine light appear off and on since January of this year.
The Volvo dealer where I get my car serviced (2001 S60), said it is a 'possible' air flow meter problem. However, the air flow
meter was replaced this summer, unfortunately by a non-dealer. Now, my car won't pass inspection, and the Car Care Center
that performed the inspection gave me a different code for the emission message -- has to do with the catalytic converter.
Thursday, the dealer will take a look at it again and hopefully this can be resolved. Anyone else experienced this kind of problem?
BTW, Repair since the beginning of the year on this car is now over $1500.00 including cleaning the ETM. I don't want to give up my car, but if problems persists, I may have no choice. Over 80K miles (commuter car). I'ved owned a Volvo before ('90 740GL) -- NOT ONE PROBLEM with that car -- I loved it.
Thanks for your attention,
Coffey

Get it checked out by a mechanic. In my case, this message means a sensor problem. However, that is not the case. Most importantly, you need to make sure that no vital gases are leaking from your engine. Also, if you do not turn this off, you will not pass smog check.

TEch,
My S60 is not turbo, but thanks for the reply. By the way, I had to get gas yesterday, filled up and the message went away along with the Check Engine light. You think it will pass inspection now? (I'm still taking it in to Volvo tomorrow)

Update:
Volvo Service diags resulted in catalytic converter problem. It has to be replaced. Luckily, I told them about this problem during the 75K service, but they did not run the diags then, so they will cover the cost of the replacement($1300.00). Over 80K now.
Whew!
