Default Exhaust Manifold Gaskets

Hello,

Great forum great resources.

My vehicle: 2006 S60 2.5T

I'm hoping you guys can help me.

I had to redo the cylinder head, bent valves from a seized water pump that threw the timing belt.

I installed the re-worked head. Now I have to put the exhaust manifold on. I chose to tackle this after the head was installed instead of trying to get the studs into the manifold while placing the head. My turbo charger is still installed.

Any tips on how to achieve this with out tearing out the front part of the exhaust system?

Also, the gaskets are five individual gaskets. I heard newer model Volvos have a single gasket (similar to the intake man. gasket) that will fit. Is this accurate? And if so does anyone know the part # or what year/model car it would be for this gasket?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Going to be next to impossible. Should have installed the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head first, then installed as assembly. There are two studs on the bottom of your exhaust to turbo flange that go into the holes of your mating flange. Turn your cylinder head with the exhaust flange down and try to couple the two studs while a helper sets the head in place. Don't forget to install the manifold to turbo gasket. Takes two to do it that way. If you have already torqued your head you would need to redo that whole operation. Put the 4 middle head bolts in and just snug them up. Then tighten up the exhaust to turbo flange, then put the rest of your head bolts in and torque your heads according to the book.
