Default Fixing the knocking from bumps

Hello, i've got a knocking when coasting over bumps and am guessing its either the swaybar links or tie rod ends. is there a tell tale sign when i pull the wheel of of that it is thats making the noise? woul either of those things be loose? (i.e. i cna move them with my hands)

Cheers!

Spring seat could be bad as well. Or the control arm bushings might be bad. Inspect everything good.

You should see the bushings broke if they are bad.
Take a wrench and try to turn the top strut nut. If it spins freely it is bad. If it feels rubber and bounces back it is good.

I have the same problem on my s60. Its the front drop links on mine and I just got a pair of new ones off ebay for £15 and it looks quite easy to replace them. If it is these for you make sure you change both as a pair because when one fails the other isnt far behind.

If you put full lock on and have a look near the suspension theres a "rod" about 1 foot long with two bolts on either end.

Hope this helps!
