2003 Volvo s60 2.4 T.
The strong gas smell inside the car has me stumped. No gas leaks under the car back to front inspected. I'm being told the fuel pump is under the back seat. Is this a seal problem solved by replacing the fuel pump?![Confused](https://volvoforums.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Please let me know your thoughts.

If the nipple is cracked fuel pump replacement is the only way to fix it. Be sure to get an extra seal to replace the one on the left side opening. 1 new one usually comes with the pump for the right side - and after replacement (if needed) fill the tank and check for leaks BEFORE putting the interior back together.

I had the same problem around a year ago, turns out there was a leak at the fuel injector pump. my engine nay was blue in colour by the spraying of the fuel. the leak can be easily spotted when you have your engine running and the bonnet popped. Worth a visual inspection for sure.
Good luck finding the cause.
