Recently purchased 2015.5 V60 came with a trial Sirius subscription. They (Sirius) have been badgering me to sign up. I have not done so since I rarely use a car radio - don't like to be distracted. Looking at the nav system set up menu, I noticed that the traffic alert option had a little Sirius symbol attached. Does that mean that this function is dependent on Sirius? That would be disappointing. The outboard Garmin unit I used in my previous car came with "lifetime" traffic connection (and lifetime updates) with no subscription requirement. I kept the old unit and may end up using it in preference to the built-in system. (I find the input process on the Volvo system cumbersome compared to the Garmin although that might, in part, reflect a lack of familiarity)
