Default Sirius Radio Prep and 2006 C70-T5?

I just purchased a 2006 C70-T5.
It has the OEM code 000142 - VOLVO NAVIGATION SYSTEM - which I thought meant it has Sirius satellite radio prep.
However, I can't see how the car has Sirius, and when I talked to a rep at the dealership - he said it was prepped, but I would have to buy the Sirius radio accy. The parts person behind the counter couldnt' find any such offer.....

Anybody have some knowledge and help me idenitfy if I can get Sirius radio on my vehicle?

Thanks!!

I am by no means an expert, but I believe it means that your head unit is "Sirius Ready" - meaning that the head unit has a plug in the back to accept a Sirius tuner and the head unit is capable of displaying the Sirius information on the screen (channel, music information, etc.). I believe that Volvo has a custom Sirius tuner and I think it costs something like $800 for the tuner and then you will have a Sirius service monthly fee. You may want to go to a site like Crutchfield or even the Sirius website to see what other options you have (perhaps a portable Sirius unit with FM transmitter, or even one of those CD changer inputs that fools the head unit in thinking there is a CD changer but it will be a Sirius unit or even an iPod). I hope this helps...

I have a 2007 without Nav and inquired as to the same thing. I was told the 06 and early 07 are not Sirius ready and do not have the plug and display capabilities. The 07.5 and on have the correct radio. Take your VIN to the dealer and they should be able to look up whether your car can accept the Sirius Prep package.

Thanks
