This is a CPO with warranty, 31k miles. Is it common to have to replace the CR 2340 batteries every 6 monthes???

I'm not familiar with your terminology; is PCC the remote or fob?

For the record, I've had my 2013 S60 since Nov 2012, and haven't replaced any fob batteries (yet), so that's 4.5 years so far.

 

I have a 2013 S60 FWD, CPO, purchased March 2015, currently @44, 500 miles. I have not had to change the PCC batteries.

I have you spoken with the dealer on this?

 

Thank you for your input. PCC stands for Personal Car Communicator---which is the standard remote on steroids. Volvo calls it "enhanced functionality". What you two have stated makes complete sense. I recently replaced the batteries on both devices, and the car info said to replace the remote battery. I tested all batteries with a Fluke multimeter and they tested at 3.0 volts. The battery warning mysteriously disappeared.

FYI....These batteries are @ $6.00/USD EACH in my neck of the woods, so I urge you to go on eBay where you can pick them up for a fraction of that cost.

 

I'd say there's problem with the module that communicates with the PCC. I'd have the dealer look into it.
