I am at my wit's enf
So the burning oil thing is common knowledge?
My 2012 S60 was totaled a week ago (not my fault btw lol) - and would go through oil like crazy. I would have to add 4 qts once every 2-3 months > it would puff out white smoke when pressing the gas or in idle sometimes...all that. Took it to a Volvo dealership and the mechanic acted like I was crazy. He could see no leaks or anything. Also asked the place that changes my oil to take a look and they also couldn't see anything.
Was planning on getting rid of it this year anyway so I didn't explore any further. But yeah that was kind of a pain.

Yes everyone knows now that it's burns oil.Volvo especially that's why the changed the oil spec to synetic. But instead of letting the owners of this car. They kept it quiet Bastards. There was a class action suit against Volvo but it just mysterious fell apart and the law firm dropped it.Then I found out there iseni even a low oil light in that model.anyone who bought that model 2012 S60 t5 got screwed and there is nothing we can do about it.The big car company screws the little guy and we have to take it.so unfair
I know this is an old post, but I had (still have) a Volvo S60 2013 T5; mysterious, catastrophic engine problems at 125K miles.
Volvo told me $8000 for a new engine but other mechanics said it'd be that much, too, for their work.
Wondering if ever got resolution?
