I have a 2004 volvo s60r awd 6speed. I was driving the other day and the car stuttered on me and received the reduced engine performance light on the dash. I got the car home and restarted it and the light was gone. After a few days this happened again. I read into the issue a bit and read that it could be a failing etm or that it could be dirty. I took the etm off and cleaned it out but it didn't change a thing. At that point that car would give me the reduced engine power message every time i drove it. I took the car to read the dtc codes and it read a p2126 accelerator pedal position sensor faulty signal. Now the car will not even start. It will crank with no start. I am leaning toward ordering a new accelerator pedal position sensor to see if it will fix the issue. But i want to see if there are any tests i could do on it to see if it is really bad. I am just hoping that it is not a failing etm.
