I think someone just had the same problem but I forget if he got it fixed or not.

I have experienced this problem before, it has always been intermittent and I haven't found any help getting it fixed. I can't imagine tearing into the dash in these cars. I am currently trying to sort out a SRS message that came up when my fuse for the dash and climate control blew for no apparent reason.

I have had a few other minor electrical gremlins like the automatic window rolling back down before it closes all the way, and it says my passenger's door is open sometimes for no reason.

I hate the fact that I'm so intimiadated by these cars' electreical systems but I feel almost helpless, I don't even like to think about trying to fix anythinf for fear of making it worse, and I dread taking it to a dealer - I don't even want to hear their ideas of fixing it.

Let me know if you find anything out.

I am the one who recently had the hi-beam indicator problem along with various buzzer and bell problems. I found a wiring diagram on line but been working 6 10 hour days so I havn't had time to really look at it. Quick look shows that all the items I am having problems with go back to the DIM(dash inerface module?) and the CAN bus. I will look further when I get laid off next week and try to see if there is a junction block in between. I'm leaning towards a bad ground point but???

OK so this weekend I tore into the wiring and dashboard and CEM to try to find the problem I had with hi-beam indicator, seat belt buzzer and key-in buzzer. because they are all related to the steering column I figures check all wiring for that. As I stated in another post there is a CAN communication network that "talks" to the various modules (about 20 of them). I now think that this problem is internal to the central computor as I was (pretty much) able to track down and check continuity on most of the wires involed and all were good. So for me I ran 2 18ga. wires to the LF headlight and tapped the hi-beam wires and connected a small blue LED that I mounted on the dash. At least this way I know when the hi-beams are on. I now have 1 more problem to track with the heated L side mirror and after that I'm leaving well enough alone until.... something else breaks of fries.
