How often an oil change?
I bought this car 2 months ago now, and the sticker from the Volvo tech specified to have the oil changed at 60,000. It had 56,000 mi on it, now about 58,300. I guess it's been more than 4 months since the oil change, and more than 4,000, if not 4,500 miles.
Although the common belief is to have it done at 3,000 miles / 3 months, whichever comes first, I know that modern oil technologies make them good to work over 5,000 miles.
I drive this car gently, except once in a while where I use the turbo for passing on the road or just for kicks. I get about 25+ MPG,
What do you all recommend?
Also, as the car came with an extended warranty, I guess I should have it looked and inspected very closely by Volvo engineers, so maybe it's time, after all...
Thanks!

I take it you have an S60 turbo. On a non turbo, low revving engine, I would venture to 5K miles, or 8K with synthetic. But a turbo or supercharger needs clean oil for long life. Expensive car, expensive engine. Don't mess around is my advice. I have asked people that have had their engines last over 100k how often they changed the oil. Common response is 3K miles. On my S60 2.4T I plan 3K miles on regular oil, but will probably go with synthetic to maybe 6K miles.
