HU-650 radio - enable AUX?
Hello all
I went hunting for this answer but no luck yet. I'm hoping someone here can help. I just bought a replacement hu-650 radio for my 2007 S60. Long story short - the original radio ate a cd then died - not under warranty.
Anyway my original radio had an AUX option I could select from the source **** which was connected to a port in the middle console where I attached my mp3 player. The replacement does not seem to have that option. Is this something I have to enable in some setup menu or flip a switch somewhere to make the aux input option appear?
Regards
Russ

I need the same info
Hi Russ,
My wife's S60 has the HU-650 and I want to plug an MP3 into it, but there is no AUX port, and I can't get an AUX option out of the source button either. I'm thinking there might be 2 versions of the HU-650 or something. If you do discover a switch to flip etc, please email me.
Thanks,
Craig McBride

Just found some info on the USA spec website. They sell an I-pod adapter for the HU-650 that also includes the option of enabling an AUX input. It says the factory default is to disable the AUX input and you have to change the DIP switch.
In addition to the iPod, PA11-HON can connect a second audio source to the car radio.
The additional audio source connects to the RCA input jack on the interface labeled as
AUX INPUT. If you choose to use AUX INPUT, the DIP switch #1 on the side of the adaptor box must be set to “OFF” position (factory default is set to “ON” position).
The audio source at AUX INPUT can be accessed at CD 6 Track 1.

DIP #1 = OFF: RCA AUX Input is Enabled
DIP #1 = ON: RCA AUX Input is Disabled
