Default Key not found in 2016 v60

Lately my 2016 v60 has been complaining about the Key Not Found when I try to start the car. This happens with both of my keys. I've replaced the batteries in both of the keys but the issue remains. To start the car, I have to hold the key near the start button while I press it, but I'm afraid that it may not always work. Do I need to replace both of my keys or is there a system component at fault?

there is a receiver that the keys talk to that could be at fault. A dealer or fully equipped volvo tech should be able to check for any fault codes to see if there's anything going on with a component. there could be some wiring issues in play as well.
