Default Lucas Transmission Fix?

So I've done about everything in the book to cure the shift flare from 2-3 and the jerk from P to R, R to D, etc on my '01 S60 T5. B4 Servo Cover, Trans mount, drain/flush fluid 3 times, etc. Going through service records it seems that it had the TCM transmission software updated in 2006. Not sure if there was another or not. If not, I'm debating on trying this: Lucas Transmission Fix. Read somewhere that someone tried it in their S60 with somewhat good results. Should I? I'm thinking it may help reduce the flare a bit but at the same time I think it may royally screw up my transmission and I cannot afford a new one, let alone a rebuilt at this point. Should I just let it be?

The only option left for you at this time, is to take it to the dealer and have then download the latest TCM software and to reset the adaptations of the tranny. Short of that nothing else except a rebuild.

If you do go to the dealer for the reset, then drive the car afterwards like an "old lady" for the next 250 miles. Drive slow and make sure the tranny shifts smooth between gears, while you drive in this learning mode. DO NOT drive the car hard during this period.

Remember the tranny is relearning the new shifting patterns from your slow smooth driving after the reset.

They also have a special seafoam for transmissions that I heard helps with the problem, that is also something else you could try.

I think JDA has the better idea before you resort to snake oil, If memory servs correct the software and time to place it in adaptive mod will be around $100.

Thanks, I'll try to get it in and see if they have any software updates.
