Default Misfire at WOT HELP!!

So i fixed the first issue. One or more of my spark plugs were going out. That was the cause of my car randomly choking and dying at idle. I replaced old plugs with NEW VOLVO PLUGS FROM THE DEALER>
NEW ISSUE: At WOT in the higher rpms my car has a massive loss of power. And it starts to choke and feels like a misfire. At WOT it gets stuck in 3rd and redlines at 80 mph and has no power to go any faster. Until i let off the throttle to 75% it goes into 4th gear and starts accelerating past 80mph. But as soon as i floor it the car starts to shudder and misfire. Basically, its misfiring at WOT under heavy load. You dont feel it so much in the first couple of gears because of how fast it gets through them. But as soon as i hit 3rd, at about 4k rpms i get a bad misfire and major loss in power, at WOT. ANy help??

sounds like you have a lot to go through.
in your other thread you had lots of issues that were simply due to the spark plugs. what kind of plugs did you get?
also have you checked for vac leaks, fuel pressure, compression?

its likely to do with fuel or spark
but that tree branch you talked about in that other thread may have knocked something loose?

The damage from the tree branch was mostly the windshield and roof, i feel like its unlikely it knocked loose any sensors or anything.
My thoughts are exactly like yours. I'm going to do a leak test and see if there's a leak anywhere in my hoses. If not my next guess is its one or multiple coils going bad. I read up on a guy who had the same exact issue with his turbo Jetta/Gti (one of those) and his problem was a coil. I noticed that the 2004 model like mine had a major issue with the fuel pressure sensor going out. And when it does go out the whole car shuts off and could end up wrecking your car into something. I'll be getting that replaced as preventive maintenance soon. Better safe than sorry.

I'll keep you posted.
