I was under my car looking for a leak (broken PCV pipe) but I found this frayed cable, I think just forward of the oil pan. It runs left to right and is a braided steel cable who's function is unclear. If it ran from to back I'd think it was an Ebrake cable. I pulled on it and it broke free. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
