Default New here, need help

Hey everyone, I hope I'm posting this in the correct place I have never been part of a forum but, I digress. So I'm having problems with my 2001 Volvo S60, I replaced the tail lights on the passenger side and now my brake light on the passenger side won't fire unless you smack the light assembly and then the brake light will only work temporarily. I replaced the brake light thinking that was the problem and it was not, I have also replaced the circuit board that the light bulbs plug in to and it only fixed the problem for a few miles and now the brake light is on the fritz again.
all new bulbs
New circuit board
Fuses are good
Relays are good???
Please help???

if you can smack it and get a change you know the problem is mechanical - ie contacts, bulb socket, connector to the light housing, connector to the ground point. Since you said replacing the circuit board fixed the problem for a few miles, I'd say the problem isn't the board but the connections to it.

So the wire to the plug or the plug itself? I was going to attempt to fix it myself

could be either - check plastic connectors for cracks, terminal spades can be cleaned, look for damaged wires etc. check with volt meter for power, and check ground points for resistance.
