Default No current to 12 volt socket - fuse????

In September my wife got her V50 and since then I've been driving the S60. Recently I tried to charge my cell phone by using the 12 volt socket and nothing happened. It seems there is no current to the 12 volt socket.

I am guessing a blown fuse.

My previous car was a Jaguar and if any fuse was blown you would get a notification on the dash. Does the S60 do the same thing if there is a blown fuse. I have no indication on the dash that there is a problem.

There is no indication. The fuse is likely blown

What year is the S60? Did you probe the socket for volts or is it just that your charger's light is not going on? Different models have the interior fuse boxes in different places so knowing the year will help.

Most likely the fuse but then the question is why did it blow?
