Default No spare tire on 2013 s60 T5

So what genius decided not to include at least a donut spare tire in the 2013 S60???

Does anyone have any info re: the bolt pattern sizes???

Any help = Appreciated.

Default Volvo foolishness

I have the same problem with my 2015 V60 - one of my few gripes with the car (The other big one is lack of a dipstick - relying on an electrical read-out is OK, (so long as it functions) but there is useful information to be gleaned from actually looking at the oil)

There is a thread on another forum describing the fitting of a spare

V60 spare

without buying the outrageously priced OEM spare tire "box" ($300 for a chunk of molded foam plastic) but other reading suggests that, while this will work in the V60, the space underneath the trunk load floor in the sedan will not accommodate a spare and still let the load floor lie flat.

This is really a grave omission. Tires have improved but, in recent memory, I have had only 1 puncture but 3 "blow-outs" due to road hazards. In the latter cases, neither a "run-flat" tire nor a can of sealant + pump would have been of any use.

wheel-size.com is a good resource for wheel specs. the 2013 S60 T5 uses a 5x108 bolt pattern, 63.4 center bore and a 50 mm offset. If you want to source a skinny spare, I'd look at a 2006 to 2010 S40. Should be the same specs and easily found used in a recycle yard. car-part.com is a good site for finding yards as well.

You can find good deals on a spare on Ebay, which is where I purchased mine. I also purchased the spare tire storage kit. Some don't like the kit, as it does raise the floor a few inches, but I find it allows me to use all the available space.
