Default Noise when moving side to side

I can hear sort of a bumping noise when the car moves side to side. Is there an engine mount on the driver's side? I had all the motor mounts replaced under warranty less than a year ago so I'm thinking they still should be covered if there's a problem.

It turns out that the bolt in the rear motor mount is stripped out and spinning freely. That is the culprit. Hence another trip to the stealership to get it fixed thankfully under warranty.

Probably need the mount then if that is the case.

They replaced the mount, and it jerked once when I drove it out. The noise is still there. Anyone have any suggestions? Please help, this is absolutely killing me. I'm losing my faith in a Volvo's ability to be repaired.

Did they check the lower front tranmission mount? Suspension bushings? Sway bar end links? Could be a host of things.

Everything in the front end is tight. That lower transmission mount is fine. My independent Volvo mechanic is going to replace the axle nuts this week, because I hear there's some updated ones that are supposed to prevent any noises? Anyone hear anything about that?

So your description says when car moves side to side. Does that mean its suspension noise? Just wandering why you are chasing engine and transmission mounts. I have done tons of upper strut plates for suspension noises such as pops clunks stuff like that. There is no play that can be detected. The way I diagnose this is with a tool called Electronic Ear. You basically put small microphones on suspected issues and dive vehicle to find the noise.
