Default O2 Sensor Replacement

I keep get the P0422 Code and CEL and been seeing threads on many sites that say it could be the O2 sensor.

I'm going to be replacing both of my O2 Sensors.

Is there anything special I should do BEFORE and AFTER I replace them, like have ECM reprogramed, etc?

Did you get any Error Codes that indicated you needed to replace them?

Install the sensors and HAVE the codes cleared.
The Battery disconnected will not clear them.

There is codes in 2 computers. It might turn the light off but the codes are still there.

I'm trying to replace my downstream O2 sensor but i have no idea how to get a socket up behind the catalic converter to get it off. Any quick tips or ideas? I purchased the 7/8 socket from Auto zone but even then, it looks impossible.

I'm assuming you realize that the downstream sensor has absolutely no effect on how the car operates. It's only there to monitor the operation of the convertor.
