Default P1610 on 03 S60 2.4T

I am getting a P1610 error. a little backgroud... I had a Cylinder2 missfire. replaced all spark plugs and cylinder 2 coil. Since I had it apart, I replaced timing belt and tensioner and roller. When i started it, it sounded like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I turned it off and called buddy Dave mobile mechanic. I obviously got belt a tooth or two off. He put on right and it now purrs smooth again, but now it throws a P1610 error. He said he needed to use some cam alignment tool, takes 3-4 hours. Ouch, but OK. He did it and still throwing 1610 error. I read about ETM recall, but only appears to apply to up to 2002, I have an 03. he has erased codes mulitiple times and it keeps coming back within minutes. Also, using gas like crazy, but sounds and runs smooth. yes, I probably should have taken to dealer, but it didn't run, so here I am . Advice?

your code for your car is P1610 SBDS Interactive Codes
(service bay diagnostic systems)

re-flash your computer and hope it works lol

when you say re-flash computer, do you mean erase the codes?

nope, bring it to a Volvo dealer and for anywhere between $0-$150 they can re-install the operating system so to speak
because basically your computer is reading tons of faults that just simply are not there. its freaking out because it likely lost some of its programming.

it sounds like there is a glitch in your computer and the only real way to find it is to start fresh (might be a good time to get an ECU upgrade if your wanting more horse power)

Resolved. Well, good people are hard to find. Turns out my mobil mechanic was a couple of teeth off on the timing belt... KISS? Still hurting from the raping the dealer charged though...
