I have been having a reoccurring issue with my parking brake since I purchased my car almost a year ago. Every so often when I turn my car off I can hear the parking brake activate by itself with the park light coming on in the dash. Sometimes it will happen once a week, sometimes 3 times and sometimes once a month. After three trips to the dealership they do not know why this keeps happening. It has been there for a week now and they gave me a 2016 loaner V60 and that did it once now as well. Has anyone had experience with this or know why this would happen so sporadically on these cars.

 

So if the loaner did it them is normal. Don't worry about it.
