2014 S60. While driving the other day, I had a black and white picture of a wrench appear on the speedometer screen. It only lasted about 2 seconds and never reappeared. I can't seem to find any info in the owners manual and this is my first Volvo. Appreciate any comments.

usually the wrench icon is used as a maintenance reminder (ie a service light telling you its time to change the oil). On some models the service reminder says on for a bit after the start up but goes off. On my VW CC, the car does a count down by day for goodness sake! My older Volvos simply have a Service light :-)
