Is it possible to change this part?
Hi all,
I have a problem with this part in my car which I don't know what to call it, well I'll just call it the cubs cover for now and here is picture

U can see it's the cover of the place where u put drinks and stuff near the gear changer.
The problem is that this thing cracked and it also got scratched and I noticed the the newer models have a different one and it seems like it can fit and here is a picture

The new one looks really awesome and since the interior of the car is black I bet it will look nicer than the old one. So, will it fit and how much should I expect 2 pay for it???

You can get a new one from the dealer for roughly $48. They probably won't have it in stock, but will order it for you. I'm sure there is a write-up on replacing it somewhere on the forum. It's such a common occurrence.
The part number varies by color, but I think theflip coveris referred to as a "gaiter" and the cup holder is just a cup holder. I searched and found this quick-and-dirtyexplanation by tech:

But will the cubholder for the new models (05-07) with the sliding cover fit the old one in my 2003 volvo? Have anyone tried it because there's not point of chaning it if it's gonna break again!
