Hi...

how should I check Power Steering fluid? Should it be on started engine?

I have checked engine off and fluid is higher than line hot. is it ok or should I remove some?
and after some periods there is wet around fluid tank.

please some suggestions.

Park on level ground with the front wheels straight ahead. Switch off the engine. The level should be between the max and min marks. If it is above the max mark remove some fluid. I use a small syringe for this job.

 

Checked my fluid this morning. Noticed it was a little towards being low rather than high. Should I level it, or will such a small amount not really matter?

 

I always check it with the car off. When the car is running it will read a little lower with the fluid flowing. I fill it to the middle between low and full.

 

I have recently checked fluid and its higher then max. and I noticed wet around fluid tank. Should it be the reason that there is a lot?

 

Someome must have overfilled it.

 

Will that harm the car or just make a mess?
