Hello all!

My wife and I are in the market for a 2012 S60 T5. Depending on the OTD price, we would like to add the premium package and the sports package. We went ahead and built the vehicle on the volvo site and the MSRP was around $35,800 (before taxes, fees, etc.).

What should we expect the OTD price to be? Have any of you recently bought a 2012 S60? what was your buying experience like?

We went to the dealership on Friday and the car sales man quoted us $36,000 OTD. We feel that there should be a lot more wiggle room. Are we right or are these vehicles in such high demand that the dealers aren't offering much of a discount.

I don't know if there is not as much markup built in but they didn't cut the price much when I bought my wife's S60 T5. Not sure if it's a Volvo policy since it was my first volvo purchase.

i have 2 family member that are going threw this now 1 is going to buy the Volvo the other went with Audi. The Volvo is going to cost $5500 less because of moving to a different dealer. I am unsure if this is something you have the ability to do . Where i live we have 3 all within 40 miles of each other.. The smaller dealer wiggled the least and the bigger dealer made the best deal buy far and even gave them a Volvo friend and family deal as this was something that was coming up for people that were Volvo owner and wanted to trade in there used Volvo in for a new one. Saved almost $5500 from there first quote. Try another dealer if you can....
